Artistic expression has been shown to be useful for children suffering from trauma experiences and can help children express their fears as well as joys. At the Spafford Children’s Center the staff of social workers, psychologist, and teachers are well experienced in encouraging children to communicate their feelings and begin the process of recovering from the trauma.
Plus being creative is fun and when friends work together it is even better as the boys in the picture know. This smiling child hopes for a rainbow bright future and the SCC will help her have the skills needed to achieve it.
