Summer camps

Every year, depending on the funding support received, SCC organizes holiday camps in the summer for different age groups with sports, art, music, trips, theater, and cultural activities.

For young children there is a day camp at the SCC in the Old City arranging competitive sports and creative activities, as well as trips to swimming pools and fun parks.

For teenagers and young adults, there are sleeping-out camps. These are arranged in the West Bank to make it possible for young people from East Jerusalem to interact with other teenagers from different areas of Palestine. This strengthens their sense of identity by teaching them Palestine’s history, through trips and cultural educational sessions, and develops their confidence by extending their friendship groups as they learn about teamwork and tolerance of others.

For teenagers SCC’s camp includes activities to strengthen their sense of identity by teaching them Palestinian history, organizing trips and cultural educational sessions, and emphasizing teamwork and tolerance of others.
