On October 15th 2023 Ourrunners will run the Bath Half Marathon in Aid of the Spafford Children's Center.
The Spafford Children’s Center has been providing support to families in Jerusalem’s Old City for nearly 100 years. Originally founded as an orphanage in 1925, the centre continued to evolve in response to political changes of the time, becoming a hospital and, eventually, an outpatient centre in the 1970s, before introducing a series of new services aimed at mothers and their children in 1987. Now, the Children’s Center provides a holistic approach to child health and empowerment, providing psychological, social and educational support for children who live under difficult socio-economic conditions in East Jerusalem.
